Syd just finished his first year of middle school and he ended it with a 3.7 GPA! YAY! This is big because he has grown so much this year. He has never had bad grades but this year was a learning experience for him. Learning organization and responsibility. I think this is harder for boys than girls. It was hard for me to teach him the lesson that it is his school work and up to him to do it right and get it turned in on time. Uhhh, that first quarter was a hard one! As a mom you just want to step in and make sure he's doing it all. It's a lot different than Elementary.
I am so proud of him. His Art teacher put one of his art projects in the Art show at school, he made the honor roll 3 out of 4 quarters (like I said that first one was a tough one) He also got an award for 'hardest worker' and an award at the end of the year for 'most improved student' in his math class. C- to an A! My baby boy is growing up.....Sigh!
