It's official, we have a teenager! Sydney turned thirteen this month. WOW! It's kinda a hard thing to accept, harder for me than I thought. I know that my kids are going to grow up but seriously can time slow down just a little bit. It seems like he was just a little boy with a raspy voice, into things like Little Bear, Franklin and Hot Wheels. In just five short years he will be eighteen! And these next five years are going to involve things like driving and girls and some rebellion (hopefully not to much rebellion.) So, I have no other choice but to get over it and move on to another chapter in motherhood. I hope we survive the teenage years! Anyone who wants to give me advise I'll gladly take it.....
Syd got to celebrate his birthday twice this year. One party at my dad's house.We went to my dad's the night of the U game. My sister was still in town, so we went over there watched the game, had dinner and cake for Syd's birthday.
The second party we had at our house. All of Brian's family came over. We had pizza and Birthday cake. Then spent the rest of the night playing the Wii.
I am very proud of Syd and can't wait to see what he like when he gets older. I just need to remember to slow down and enjoy the small stuff~
